[Central Asia] Natural Landscapes of Tajikistan: Mountains and Lakes
Hello, nice to meet you.
Today, I will provide information about Tajikistan's economic free zones and policies.
Economic Free Zones
- The Tajik government has established five Free Economic Zones (FEZs) in Sughd, Danghara, Pyanj, Kulob, and Ishkoshim, with approximately 70 companies operating within these zones. The government is actively seeking to attract foreign investment.
- Benefits offered include exemptions from social security and income taxes for employees, exemptions from corporate taxes and customs duties, freedom to repatriate profits, simplified visa procedures, and a single-window registration system.
- These economic free zones receive many economic privileges, including tax (income and social taxes excluded) and customs exemptions, with all administrative barriers to economic free zone development removed.
Economic Policies
- The Tajik government is implementing a long-term economic development plan, the "National Development Strategy 2016-2030," aiming to reduce the current poverty rate of 30% by half by 2030.
